The Chief Safety Officer is the Head of the Safety department. The PCSO audits the operations on the Railway with respect to safety through inspections, supervision of Inspections, safety audits and other checks. All audits are also analyzed and action suggested to prevent accidents. The PCSO also monitors the training requirements of staff and ensures the availability of Rules books and instructions.
