Two Special Trains will be run by N. F. Railway between Kamakhya – Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra and between Katihar- New Delhi to clear additional rush of passengers during the current festive season.

The first passenger train, numbered as 04457/04458, will have 18 General Second Class coaches and will run as an Unreserved Express Special between Katihar and New Delhi. Train No. 04457 will leave Katihar at 5.05 p.m. o­n 13th, 14th, 15thand 16th November to reach New Delhi at 7 p.m. next day. In the return direction, train No. 04458 will leave at 3 p.m. o­n 12th, 13th, 14th and 15th November to arrive at Katihar at 10.30 a.m. next day. The train will have stoppages at Khagaria, Begusarai, Barauni, Mokama, Patna, Mughalsarai, Varanasi, Lucknow and Moradabad.

The second train, a weekly train numbered as 05655/05656, will have o­ne AC-2 Tier, three AC-3 Tier, six Sleeper Class and five General Chair Car coaches and will run between Kamakhya and Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra. While train No. 05655 will leave Kamakhya at 10.45 a.m. o­n 15th, 22nd, 29th November and 6th December (every Sunday) to arrive at 4.00 p.m. o­n Tuesday, the train No. 05656 will leave Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra at 12.30 p.m. o­n 18th, 25thNovember and 2nd, 9th December (every Friday) to arrive at Kamakhya at 3.40 a.m. o­n Wednesday. The train will have stoppages at Goalpara town, New Bongaigaon, Kokrajhar, New Alipurduar, New Coochbehar, Dhupguri, New Jalpaiguri, Kishanganj, Barsoi, Katihar, Begusarai, Barauni, Samastipur, Darbhanga, Raxaul, Gorakhpur, Gonda, Bareilly, Moradabad, Ambala Cantt, Ludhiana, Jalandhar Cantt, Jammu Tawai and Udhampur among others.
