RPF comes to rescue of girl

Today (29-4-19) at about 12-30 hrs o­n duty lady team Kanaklata Bahini of RPF detected o­ne girl who was roaming alone in helpless position o­n the foot over bridge o­n PF No1 end of Rangiya station. The lady team approached to the girl and interrogated about the reasons of her nervousness. But the girl could not reply properly and was crying. The girl was then brought to RPF post at Rangiya station and o­n further conversation and counselling the girl disclosed her name as well as address and told that she was a student of Navodaya Vidyalay and appeared Higher Secondary final exam in Science stream. She had some quarrel with her parents and fled away from her home with an aim to go to her grandfather’s home located nearby Rangiya railway station. But after reaching Rangiya, neither she could not locate the house nor could she find out the road to go back to her house.

Later o­n RPF contacted with her father over the contact number provided by the girl. Father of the rescued girl requested RPF to keep the girl with them assuring to inform the grandfather of the rescued girl for taking into his custody. Accordingly her guardian attended RPF POST / Rangiya and the rescued girl was handed over after observing necessary formalities.

It may mentioned here that Railway Protection Force (RPF) have been successfully rescuing runaway child from railway premises During the year 2018 RPF rescued 708 minor children and handed them over to either their parents or various NGOs like Child Line after observing necessary formalities.
