Train services between Rangapara North - North Lakhimpur introduced

Maligaon, 14th January, 2014: Northeast Frontier Railway today introduced passenger train services between Rangapara North and North Lakhimpur. Conversion of this 173 KM long stretch into broad gauge was completed recently. The Commissioner of Railway Safety after inspection of the newly converted section, issued permission declaring the section fit for introduction of passenger train services. With today’s introduction of passenger train services, a long pending need of the people of this area got fulfilled.

The newly introduced train having number 05831 will depart from Rangapara North at 05-30 hrs. to arrive North Lakhimpur station at 10-05 hrs. and during return journey train no. 05832 will leave North Lakhimpur station at 10-35 hrs. to arrive Rangapara North station at 15-30 hrs. During its journey the train will stop at Balipara, Dhalaibil, Nizchatia, Viswanath Chariali, Monabari, Nizbargang, Bedetti, Helem, Brahmajan, Gohpur, Dubia, Uttar Kathani, Tatibahar, Tipling, Harmuti, Tanijan, Kathal Phukuri and Silanibari. The special train will have ten general second class coaches and two luggage vans.
