Northeast Frontier Railway bags safety shield in 68th Railway Week Awards, 2023, 09 officials bag Ati Vishisht Rail Seva Puraskar

The 68th Railway Week Awards - Ati Vishisht Rail Seva Puraskar, 2023 was held at Bharat Mandapam, Pragati Maidan, New Delhi o­n 15th December, 2023. Hon’ble Minister of Railways, Electronics and Information Technology & Communications, Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw presented the Shields to all the winner of zonal railways for their excellence performance in the particular field. Altogether 100 Individual Awards and 21 Efficiency Shields were distributed for outstanding performance.

The Safety Shield Awards has been jointly conferred to Northeast Frontier Railway and Southern Railway for maintaining high standard of efficiency in regards to the safety parameters during 2022-23. Derailment, collision, breach of signal, signal passing at danger, dashing with other vehicle over track, incidents in unmanned level crossings, cattle run over are the various safety parameters in which Northeast Frontier Railway registered least number of cases with high scoring as compared to other zonal railways.

Apart from these, 09 officials of Northeast Frontier Railway from various departments that excelled in various fields were conferred with Ati Vishisht Rail Seva Puraskar individual awards. Shri Subhanan Chanda, Dy. Chief Engineer Construction, Shri Narendra Singh, Senior Divisional Signal & Telecom Engineer & Shri Pranjit Das, Station Superintendent have been selected for their exemplary work done to improve operations, safety, better maintenance and utilization of assets. Shri Migom Doley, Divisional Security Commissioner & Shri Narendra Palei, Senior Section Engineer have been selected for their meritorious acts even in disregard to personal safety leading to protection of life and property o­n railways. Smt. Amish Gogoi, Assistant Personnel Officer has been selected for exemplary administrative capabilities. Shri Amit Kumar Mani, Senior Divisional Signal & Telecom Engineer & Shri Chandan Kumar, Senior Section Engineer have been selected for implementation of new innovations in their respective fields. Shri Deba Prasad Hajarika, Chief Vigilance Inspector has been selected for special efforts made by him to increase earnings in railways by tackling with ticketless travellers, thefts etc.

N. F. Railway has been working relentlessly in all the fields to make the journey of every individual of the country safe and smooth. The Puraskars conferred to N. F. Railway will encourage all employees to further work harder to achieve the organisation goals.
