Under the leadership of Shri Chetan Kumar Shrivastava, General Manager/NFR, significant investments have been made to modernize hospital infrastructure with advanced diagnostic equipment, state-of-the-art Operation Theatres and fully equipped Intensive Care Units. As part of these efforts, on 15th August 2025, the renovated Female Surgical Ward, Orthopaedic Ward and a Haemodialysis Unit under the Public-Private Partnership model were inaugurated at the Central Hospital.

This year, several new health and medical facilities have been introduced across Railway Hospitals under N.F. Railway. At the Divisional Railway Hospital, Katihar, a Digital X-ray unit and a fully automated Auto Analyzer have been inaugurated. The Sub-Divisional Railway Hospital at Rangapara North is now equipped with a new CR System X-Ray machine. At Central Hospital, Maligaon, an advanced Lasotronix Laser Diode System has been installed. Continuous training and skill development programs are conducted to ensure medical staff stay updated with the latest practices and technologies. Furthermore, NFR actively engages in community outreach by organizing health camps and awareness programs, benefiting thousands of people.
