Official Language Department, Tinsukia 

Tinsukia Division holds the distinction of being the easternmost division of Northeast Frontier Railway. Under its notification dated 27.06.1988, the Railway Board declared it a full-fledged division in 1988. Out of the total 14 departments in this division, the Official Language Department is one of them.

Since our division falls under Region ‘C’, the officers and staff ensure hundred percent implementation of the constitutional provisions, official language-related orders, Acts, and Rules for the effective implementation of the Official Language Policy and achievement of the prescribed targets.

Under the guidance of Divisional Railway Manager, Parag Katre, and under the administrative control of the Deputy Chief Official Language Officer and Senior Divisional Mechanical Engineer, continuous efforts are being made to implement the Acts, Rules, and constitutional provisions related to the Official Language Policy and to promote the progressive use and wider propagation of Official Language Hindi.

Hindi Library and Reading Room

To attract employees towards Hindi and to enhance their interest in the language, a total of 03 (three) Hindi libraries have been established in this division at the following locations.
