Northeast Frontier Railway has been successfully operating prestigious train No. 20501/20502 Tejas Rajdhani Express, which completed its one year journey between Agartala and Anand Vihar (T) on 14th February, 2022. N. F. Railway proudly celebrates the anniversary of one glorious year of run of the first ever long distance Tejas Rajdhani Express with AC Sleeper coaches. This train is loaded with lots of smart features like- Automatic Plug Doors, Fire & Smoke Detection and Suppression System, CCTV Surveillance, Bio-Vacuum toilets, GPS enabled Passenger Information and Announcement System etc. These revolutionary features ensure a safe and comfortable journey for the passengers.
This prestigious train is being maintained at Agartala. N. F. Railway has been able to provide uninterrupted services since its commissioning without any breakdown from Agartala to Anand Vihar and back, which depicts the success saga of this train. This was the first such service with Tejas type sleeper coaches in Indian Railways. The service is very well patronised by the travelling public of Northeast Region. This service has offered a better connectivity of the Northeast with National Capital. Tejas has proved itself worthy as a stepping stone in realizing the vision of Indian Railways to provide passengers a safe, efficient, affordable, customer focused and a delightful journey experience.
It’s a matter of immense pride that Tejas, built in Modern Coach Factory, Raebareli (Uttar Pradesh), is connecting the Northeast region with National Capital and is a symbol of national unity and oneness that we see in the country.
