Minister of State of Railways, Coal & Mines Shri Raosaheb Patil Danve holds review meeting with N. F. Railway officials

Shri Raosaheb Patil Danve, Hon’ble Minister of State of Railways, Coal & Mines held a review meeting with General Manager of Northeast Frontier Railway at Guwahati o­n 24th November, 2021 o­n various developmental works and the o­ngoing railway projects in the North-eastern region. The meeting was also attended by the General Manager of N. F. Railway Construction Organisation and other senior railway officials.

Shri Anshul Gupta, General Manager of Northeast Frontier Railway was present during discussion with the Hon’ble Minister o­n overall performance of Northeast Frontier Railway (Open line) and day to day functioning pertaining to operation of trains and development of passenger amenities in various states. Shri Sunil Sharma, General Manager of Northeast Frontier Railway (Construction Organisation) along with senior railway officials from the construction organization also gave a presentation of the o­ngoing projects of Railway Construction in Northeast.

N. F. Railway is executing various new railway line projects for connecting the capitals of North-eastern states. The projects are in various stages of completion. Various issues related to timely completion of these projects were discussed by all stake holders during the review meeting.

Once the projects are completed, it will create a new mode of communication for the people of North-eastern states and will largely help in boosting the economy in these regions.

The Union Minister earlier o­n Monday, inspected bridge and tunneling works of the Sivok- Rangpo new railway line project. Sikkim will be connected by the railway network through this project. Next day, the Minister inspected sites of the o­ngoing Dimapur – Kohima new railway line project that will connect the state capital of Nagaland. The line starts from Dhansiri station, which is about 18 km before Dimapur o­n main line in between Lumding and Dimapur. The new line will end at Zubza adjacent to Kohima. The Minister inspected the newly built Shokhuvi railway station, tunneling and bridge works during his visit.   

Shri Raosaheb Patil Danve, Hon’ble Minister of State of Railways, Coal & Mines also inaugurated a 60 bedded AC Running room with modern facilities at Kamakya station o­n 23rd November, 2021. It has veg/non-veg kitchen and separate rooms for ladies staff. He also interacted with the running staffs.
